Despite the notorious article titled How Yoga Can Wreck Your Body in the NY Times, more and more recent research shows that yoga is good for your. Let's showcase some of these findings! How is yoga good for you? Let me count the ways.

#1 As little as 12 minutes yogic meditation a day reduces stress.

A recent study (Black et.al., 2012) found that 68 genes responded to reduce inflammation in those participants who carried out their daily meditative yoga practice. And why that matters?  When constantly activated, the inflammatory response can lead to stress related conditions, including heart disease and depression.
