Ana Monteiro

Studio Manager

Ana was born in sunny Lisbon on the month of November, in the last year of the 70's (great year). Character defined by a triple Scorpio astrological sign, she loves to experience and feel new things. After creating two precious masterpieces, she decided to adventure, and emigrated to the UK.

A secret lover of all mystic and human relations, she studied for a degree in Counselling Cognitive Behavioural therapy until discovering that she’s not able to detach emotionally from people. In this search for a new challenge (also fighting an anxiety disorder), she eventually turned her attention to different therapies, and along with being a martial arts practitioner, yoga came as a natural experience to be tried out.

With this new passion, the opportunity arose to be a part of the CAMYOGA team where she’s been growing since 2014 (aka part of the furniture).

In 2019, as Camyoga was facing some changes and many challenges, Ana embraced a managerial role. Since then, her love for yoga and what it represents for her as an art, science and life philosophy she felt compelled to pursue the Iyengar Yoga teacher training.

If and when, she’s not wearing her bubble shorts you’ll probably find her chatting her heart away with one of camyogas students, or in a cozy corner reading and debating new philosophical questions about the world.

Hannah Ellis

Studio Manager

Hannah joined the team in 2015 as a sales and marketing executive. Over time, her duties have transitioned into a managerial position, where she collaborates closely with Ana. Her main focus is on the digital side of the business and is a practical problem solver. You can sometimes find her at the studio with a cup of tea telling inappropriate jokes.

Away from the pixels and codes, Hannah discovers joy in life's simple pleasures. Being outdoors serves as an antidote to days spent on the laptop. As a devoted reader, she frequently delves into the wisdom of non-fiction books, constantly seeking knowledge to nourish her inquisitive mind.

Yoga, for Hannah, became a lifeline during challenging times of mental health struggles, the supportive community at CAMYOGA offering a comforting anchor. She feels strongly about the healing power of togetherness and feels honoured that she is able to facilitate this for others through classes at CAMYOGA.

Aldar Zhimbiev

Front of house

Aldar is our yoga-loving, circus-acrobatic climbing guru! 🤸‍♂️

With over 7 years of yoga practice (and counting!), Aldar's journey began right here at CAMYOGA. He believes yoga is the perfect companion to his acrobatics, circus aerial, and climbing adventures! Aldar loves working for such a wonderful community (more of a community than a company)! (his words... not ours 😍😍). What does the future hold for Al? Well, he's got his eyes set on a yoga teacher training in the near future!

Valeria Castaldi

Front of house

Meet Valeria, a 24-year-old originally from Rome, currently studying crime and investigative studies. Her journey led her to Cambridge, initially to master English, where she found herself captivated by the city's charm and decided to make it her second home.

Valeria's passion for yoga started with more than a year of practice in Italy and continued throughout her time here in Cambridge. Beyond the physical benefits, yoga has become an essential tool in her stress-management toolkit.

In addition to her academic pursuits and yoga journey, Valeria loves the simple pleasures in life and is passionate about the environment. Her friendly nature makes her adept at connecting with people, and finding joy in meeting and getting to know them. Interestingly, her employment at CAMYOGA has not only provided her with a job but also granted her the peace she always sought.
