I'm new to yoga/never done yoga before, what would you recommend?
If you've never done yoga before (or practiced a little bit of yoga and are unsure of postures), we would recommend joining a yoga open class (this is mixed ability), or a beginners class.

Changing rooms/facilities
We have two separate changing rooms (not unisex), with lockers that you can leave your bits and bobs in. We have unisex toilet facilities and will be very soon opening our showers for you to use.

Should I eat before class?
It is best not to eat a big meal within 4 hours of a class.
A healthy snack (such as a piece of fruit, or a handful of nuts) 1-2 hours before is fine.

Bring a water bottle
We provide filtered water and fruit-infused water which you can help yourself to along with small plastic cups to sip from. Please do not bring glasses or mugs into our studios.

Bring your own mat & props if you’d like to
We have mats and props for you to borrow at the studio, so no need to bring your own unless you’d like to. For Hot Yoga classes, we recommend that you bring a towel around the size of a yoga mat to place over your mat (as it gets sweaty pretty quickly!) we have a selection of Yogitoes grip dot towels for you to purchase at the studio and a small number of towels to borrow if needed.

How often should I practice?
There is a significant benefit to attending class 2-3 times a week. Expect to see dramatic mind and body benefits from this level of attendance. Almost all of our clients are seeking some kind of change. Attending 2-3 times a week regularly will bring about that change - guaranteed.

Arrive 10 minutes early
Classes are often busy. It’s good to arrive early to relax and prepare before class.

Don’t be late!
We operate a zero-tolerance lateness policy. Classes start on time and late admissions are not allowed - this is to minimise disruption for your fellow practitioners. Please do not ask to be let into a class after it has started. Thank you for your cooperation.

Wear comfortable clothing and a couple of layers
Most people wear gym-style clothing. Shorts, or leggings / joggers and a t-shirt or vest would be great. Bring a sweatshirt or jumper as well in case you get chilly during relaxation. In most classes, there is no particular dress code, but we would encourage you to wear shorts during Hot Yoga and Iyengar classes (as per tradition).

Be prepared to remove your shoes upon arrival!
You will be asked to remove your shoes on arrival at the centres. Please leave them in the hall.

Book classes on the CAMYOGA app
We have a fantastic free app that can be used on Android or Apple devices. You can book classes on the go, sign in when you get to the studio, make purchases and more. Available for Android and iOS.

Turn off your phone!
Please turn off your phone before your class - it is really distracting (and embarrassing!) if it starts going off during your lesson. You’ve made the effort to attend class, use this time to shut off from the outside world, and go inside yourself.

Pregnant?
It is very important to inform your instructor at the start of your class if you are pregnant. If you’re in need of advice, please email us. Not all classes are suitable for pregnancy. At the moment, we are not offering pregnancy-specific yoga classes.

Can I get the recording of the class if I attend in-studio?
Yes, of course, you can! Just ask at reception when you attend the class (or drop us an email), we will give you access to the recording free of charge :)
